Observatoire de Paris - PSL, partner of the Explor’Espace 2023 Festival

From November 3 to 5, 2023, the Association Française d’Astronomie presents the Explor’Espace interactive festival in Montrouge. Get ready for a unique, immersive experience revolving around the conquest of space, and meet researchers from Observatoire de Paris - PSL. Free admission on reservation.

For three days, workshops (for young and old), original and accessible conferences, poetic shows and exclusive exhibitions bring the sky and space within everyone’s reach !

Explor’Espace offers a series of interactive, immersive and innovative experiences that allow visitors to touch the Universe with their fingertips.

On the program :

More than twenty unique experiences to experience the sky and space.

  • Lectures given by exceptional guests, including astronauts from ESA and NASA, as well as renowned researchers, including Nobel Prize winner Michel Mayor.
  • Fun workshops, round-table discussions and lectures open to all enthusiasts.
  • A vast treasure hunt, with a meteorite and a trip for 4 to the Cité de l’Espace up for grabs.
  • Breathtaking virtual reality experiences.
  • A large astrogaming area.
  • A space bus for space escape games.
  • Documentary screenings followed by conference-debates.

This year, Explor’Espace has invited some exceptional personalities, including Gerry Griffin, former flight director of the Apollo missions, who will share his fascinating experiences of American lunar missions, including the famous Apollo 13.

You’ll also have the chance to get up close to the next generation of lunar astronauts, those who will be walking on the Moon more than fifty years after the Apollo astronauts.
