The research policy of the Paris Observatory is implemented at two levels: at the level of the research units and at the level of the institution. The Observatory brings added value to its units by defining and coordinating transversal actions that increase their own potential. They are coherent with the units own policies. They take advantage of the richness of the expertise present at the Observatory which has methodological and thematic fields of expertise for which it benefits from a strong recognition and whose development is essential for its future.
For the period 2022-2025, the Scientific Council has set up a set of multi-year incentive actions for which an important added value of the institution has been clearly identified. These take over from the federative actions (2014-21).
