Teaching department

The UFE, scientific unit of the Paris Observatory, ensures the implementation of the training policy of the Institution. The unit takes in charge and coordinates the various training courses, at distance or in presence, and ensures and supports the evolution of the various proposed training courses. The UFE organizes the assignment of the various teaching and technical staff for the teaching and dissemination of knowledge.

Staff

In addition to the teachers-researchers and teachers in post or affiliated to the Observatoire de Paris,
the UFE includes 10 permanent members or not engineers, technical, administrative staff assigned to the unit.

Main activities:

The Observatoire de Paris, a large EPSCP establishment, is a founding member of the Université Paris Sciences & Lettres PSL. The Observatory provides training in Astronomy, Astrophysics, and Space Technologies at all levels of higher education, with the delivery of Master’s degrees, PhDs and habilitation to direct research. These teachings and trainings also ensure a large place to the training of professors, as well as to the sharing of knowledge and know-how developed in its laboratories, and the delivery of university diplomas.
