The High Scientific Council of the Observatoire de Paris has the functions which were given by the decree 85-715 dated 10th July 1985 . The mission of the High Scientific Council is to evaluate, and to give its opinion on, the scientific activity of the Observatoire de Paris. Its opinions and recommendations are intended for the institution, its supervisory authorities and for such national organizations as are interested in the scientific activity of the Observatory.
