Nuits des planètes – Planetary Nights 2012, at the Observatoire de Paris : a first rate vintage

2 avril 2012 Nuits des planètes – Planetary Nights 2012, at the Observatoire de Paris : a first rate vintage

This year, the nocturnal strolls among and guided tours of the telescopes organized by the Observatoire de Paris were a resounding success. All in all, 1552 members of the general public were welcomed : 538 in Paris and 1014 in Meudon, of which one half had free access to the portable telescopes installed on the municipal terrace.

This event is the fruit of a collaborative effort which mobilized 80 volunteers from the Observatory, 25 amateur astronomers, as well as a partnership with the Institut d’astrophysique de Paris and various associations, among them Planète sciences, Société Astronomique de France, Albiréo 78, Magnitude 78, Cassini Astronomie.
