The "Cosmos and poetry" event will take place on wednesday, May 3rd 2017
gtom 16h to 23h30 at the l’École Normale Supérieur, with Jean-Pierre
Luminet, astrophysicist at the Paris Observatory.
The Pars Observatory is a partner to this event, which highlights
literature and science, andis built around,encounters, readings, film
shows and observation of the sky.

Cosmos et poésie

The program includes : science, literature, encounters, film shows, the juicy cinematographic comments of Roland Lehoucq, and the possibility
to win an introductory course in lunar observing from the roof s of the Panthéon, made available exceptionally for a handful of lucky winners, under the aegis of the Paris Observatory astrophysicists.

In the spirit of mutual sharing, this event terminates a long morning at the Paris Observatory, in collaboration with the lycée Branly de Créteil and the Lycée-en-Forêt de Montargis, with a visit of the building by the astrophysicist Denis Savoie, and the prize giving ceremony of the competion « Poésie du cosmos » ("Poetry of the cosmos") open to schoolchildren.
