“Like the rest of the Higher Education and Research sector (ESR), PSL’s component establishments and PSL University have been hit by a succession of financial measures imposed on us without being compensated by the State. These measures place all ESR establishments in a very serious situation.
Public research and training are not only a fundamental mission, but a profitable investment for the State.
Without support, French research will be profoundly weakened and will fall back on the international scene. The lack of attractiveness of scientific careers and the flight of our talents abroad will have a lasting impact on our capacity to innovate in essential fields. Our fundamental teaching and research missions are already in jeopardy. This is why we are joining the “Universités En Danger” day on December 3, 2024.
